Firm Overview

Susan O'Neal, Attorney at Law, has been representing people in Social Security and SSI disability cases for over 20 years, currently limiting her law practice to solely this practice area.  Ms. O'Neal has offices in Oak Park, Illinois and Peoria, Illinois.

When you hire Susan O'Neal to represent you in your Social Security or SSI disability case, she will personally be doing all of the representation of you before the Social Security Administration, not some unknown associate with less experience, as often happens in other firms.  Due to her extensive knowledge and experience, attorney Susan O'Neal is often able to convince the Social Security Administration to approve her clients' claims without having to wait months or years for a hearing.

Do I need any money to hire an attorney? -No, you don't need any money to hire an attorney.  The Social Security Administration allows attorneys to be paid 25% of the claimant's back pay if the attorney wins the case, but the attorney fee can't exceed $6,000.00.  The Social Security Administration must approve the fee.

The Social Security Administration makes the process very difficult for claimants.  As your attorney, it is our job to effectively communicate your claim in a light most favorable to help you to obtain benefits.  We will counsel you through the process and give you advice about what is neeed to prove your disability and help gather the appropriate medical evidence.
